The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) will start the final placement process for its flagship Post Graduate Programme (PGP) and PGP in Food and Agri-Business Management (PGP-FABM) for the 2025-26 academic year from 3 February 2026. The institute follows a cluster-cohort placement model, grouping companies by industry profile into clusters for scheduled recruitment. According to the placement schedule, the first cluster of the final placement cycle will take place on 3 February 2026, followed by Cluster 2 on 6 February 2026 and Cluster 3 on 9 February 2026. If needed, IIM-A will adopt a rolling placement process after the third cluster to accommodate additional offers.
Cluster-Wise Placement Structure
The cluster-cohort model at IIM Ahmedabad is designed to streamline interactions between students and recruiters by organising participating firms into clusters based on industry segments. Under this approach:
- Cluster 1: Begins 3 February 2026
- Cluster 2: Scheduled for 6 February 2026
- Cluster 3: Set for 9 February 2026
After Cluster 3, a rolling process may continue to facilitate further placement opportunities as required by company participation and student preferences.
PGP-FABM Placements Also Follow Same Timeline
The PGP-FABM final placement cycle will follow the same schedule as the PGP placements. Recruiters will engage with PGP-FABM students during all three clusters beginning 3 February 2026, offering roles aligned with food and agribusiness management career pathways.
Reporting and Placement Updates
IIM Ahmedabad will continue its practice of issuing cluster-specific press releases on its official channels and website after each placement cluster concludes. Media and stakeholders can expect Cluster 1 and Cluster 2 reports to be released on their respective placement days, with the Cluster 3 report and consolidated final placement report published together later in the cycle. The institute has advised stakeholders to rely only on official press releases for placement details and avoid unverified sources to maintain accuracy in reporting.
