Delhi University will release the first seat allocation list of the CSAS UG 2026 admission process on July 16, 2026, at 5 PM, giving CUET UG qualified candidates their first opportunity to secure a seat. Allotted candidates can accept the seat and complete college verification, or wait for further rounds to upgrade
Delhi University will publish the first seat allocation list of the CSAS UG 2026 admission process on July 16, 2026, at 5 PM, marking a key milestone in the undergraduate admission cycle for the 2026-27 academic session. Candidates who completed Phase 2 preference filling by July 11, 2026, will be able to check their allotted programme and college on the official CSAS portal.
Background to the First CSAS Allocation Round
The first allocation round follows the closure of Phase 2 registration on July 11, 2026, the correction window held between July 10 and 11, and the release of Simulated Ranks on July 12, 2026. Candidates were also given a preference change window from July 12 to July 13, 2026, allowing them to reorder their programme-college choices based on their simulated position before the final list was locked. The first allocation list will be generated purely on the basis of CUET UG 2026 scores and the locked preference order submitted by each candidate, in line with the eligibility criteria of individual programmes. Given that Delhi University is offering 73 undergraduate programmes and 150 BA combinations this year, competition for popular programme-college pairs is expected to remain high.
Seat Acceptance and Verification Timeline
Once the allocation list is released, candidates who receive a seat will need to follow a structured timeline to confirm their admission:
- Round 1 seat acceptance: July 16 to July 18, 2026
- College-level document verification: July 16 to July 20, 2026
- Last date for admission fee payment (Round 1): July 21, 2026
Candidates allotted a seat can choose to either accept and freeze their allocation or opt to remain in contention for an upgrade in the next round, based on their actual preference. Those who select the upgrade option will retain the ability to reorder their higher preferences within the specified timeline before the next list is released.
Documents Required for College Verification
Allotted candidates must be prepared with the necessary academic and identity documents at the time of college-level verification, which typically includes:
- Class 10 and Class 12 marksheets and certificates
- CUET UG 2026 scorecard
- Category or reservation certificates, wherever applicable
- Valid photo identity proof and recent passport-size photographs
Colleges will verify these documents before confirming a candidate's admission against the allotted seat. Failure to complete verification and fee payment within the stipulated window may lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.
Second Allocation Round and Subsequent Process
Following the conclusion of Round 1 formalities, Delhi University will release the second CSAS allocation list on July 25, 2026, at 12 Noon, catering to candidates seeking upgrades as well as vacant seats arising from non-acceptance in the first round. Candidates admitted in the second round will be able to reorder their preferences until July 28, 2026, for consideration in any subsequent round. Additional allocation rounds may follow, depending on seat vacancy after the second round. Candidates are advised to keep track of the official admission portal, ugadmission.uod.ac.in, for updates on each stage of the process, since Delhi University does not send individual communication through post regarding allocation outcomes.
