RGPV Forms Inquiry Panel Over Exam Issues, Report Due in 3 Days

Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (RGPV), Bhopal has initiated an inquiry into complaints related to examinations conducted in its University Teaching Departments (UTD). The university has constituted a three-member inquiry committee to investigate the reported issues, examine the examination process and verify all facts associated with the complaints. The committee has also been asked to look into allegations of procedural lapses, including concerns regarding a possible paper leak, and submit its report to the Vice-Chancellor within three days. The decision comes as the university seeks to ensure transparency, accountability and timely resolution of issues raised in connection with the recent examinations. The inquiry has been approved by the Vice-Chancellor, who has directed the panel to carry out a comprehensive review of the matter.

RGPV Forms Three-Member Panel to Examine Examination Complaints

To investigate the complaints thoroughly, RGPV has appointed a committee comprising senior academic and administrative officials. The panel has been entrusted with reviewing all complaints related to the conduct of examinations in the UTD branches of the university. The inquiry committee includes the following members:

The committee has been directed to examine every complaint in detail, interact with the concerned departments and verify all available records before submitting its findings. According to the university, the panel will assess the examination procedures followed during the conduct of examinations and determine whether any irregularities occurred.

Inquiry to Cover Alleged Paper Leak and Administrative Lapses

The scope of the inquiry extends beyond general examination complaints. The committee has also been instructed to investigate any alleged paper leak concerns, procedural shortcomings and administrative negligence that may have affected the examination process. As part of the investigation, the committee will:

  • Examine complaints received regarding the examinations.
  • Review the conduct of examinations in the UTD branches.
  • Verify facts and records associated with the allegations.
  • Coordinate with concerned departments and university officials.
  • Investigate possible negligence or procedural lapses.
  • Identify responsibility, if any, among university officers or employees.

If the inquiry establishes that any official or employee was responsible for lapses, the committee will prepare a separate detailed report supported by documentary evidence and relevant facts for further administrative action.

RGPV Panel Directed to Submit Report Within Three Days

The university has fixed a strict timeline for completing the inquiry. The committee has been instructed to submit both its progress report and recommendations to the Vice-Chancellor within three days of its constitution. The short reporting timeline reflects the university's intention to address the concerns without unnecessary delay and ensure that appropriate decisions can be taken at the earliest. University authorities have stated that the objective of the inquiry is to strengthen confidence in the examination system while ensuring that all complaints receive a fair and transparent review.
