Revised Late Fee Structure Also Introduced

Apart from the increase in examination fees, the university has reportedly introduced revised penalty charges for delayed submission of examination forms. Students submitting examination forms after the prescribed deadline may be required to pay:

  • INR 5,000 for submissions made between the 11th and 15th day after the examination portal opens.
  • INR 10,000 under special provisions for forms accepted up to 72 hours before the examination, subject to approval and supporting documents.

The university has also reportedly clarified that no examination forms for annual or supplementary examinations will be accepted after the commencement of the examinations.

Students Express Concern Over Financial Burden

The revised fee structure has generated significant discussion among medical students on social media platforms. Several students and medical associations have argued that the revised charges could substantially increase the financial burden on those pursuing medical education in government institutions. Some students have questioned the rationale behind the increase and requested greater transparency regarding the basis for the revised fee structure. According to reports, representatives from student groups have tagged senior state authorities, including the Haryana Chief Minister, requesting a review of the decision and urging the government to intervene in the matter.

University Yet to Announce Any Change to the Revised Structure

As of now, the reported revised fee structure is expected to become effective from August 01, 2026, and no announcement indicating a rollback or modification has been issued. The university has maintained that examination forms must be submitted within the prescribed schedule and that delayed submissions will attract the applicable late fee under the revised policy. Students are advised to monitor official notifications issued by Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak for any clarification or further developments regarding the examination fee structure.
