Chandigarh University has inaugurated the 2nd CU Scholars Summit 2026, recognising 3,600 CUCET toppers from across the country. The university also announced that CUCET 2026 Phase 2 registration will remain open until July 15, 2026, while the examination continues through July 16, 2026.
Chandigarh University has commenced the 2nd edition of the CU Scholars Summit 2026, a four-day event dedicated to recognising academic excellence and welcoming high-achieving students to the university campus. The summit, being held from July 01 to July 04, 2026, has brought together thousands of scholarship recipients, their families, academic leaders, industry experts, and distinguished guests from India and abroad. During the inaugural ceremony, the university felicitated 3,600 CUCET toppers for their outstanding performance in the Chandigarh University Common Entrance Test (CUCET) 2026, the institution’s admission-cum-scholarship examination. The event highlighted the university’s focus on promoting merit-based education and encouraging talented students through scholarships and academic opportunities.

3,600 CUCET Toppers Felicitated at CU Scholars Summit 2026
The university honoured 3,600 students who secured top ranks in CUCET 2026, acknowledging their exceptional academic performance. The summit welcomed scholars and their families from different parts of the country, providing them with an opportunity to interact with university officials, faculty members, and fellow students. The felicitation ceremony recognised students who earned scholarships through CUCET and celebrated their academic accomplishments before the beginning of the new academic session.

Chief Guest Highlights Role of Artificial Intelligence
Addressing the scholars during the inaugural ceremony, Lieutenant General (Retd.) Raj Shukla spoke about the growing influence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across industries and educational institutions. He encouraged students to embrace emerging technologies with confidence while continuing to develop critical thinking, innovation, and ethical values. He emphasised that AI should be viewed as an opportunity to create meaningful solutions and contribute positively to society.
CUCET Phase 2 Registration 2026 Continues
Alongside the summit, Chandigarh University has announced that CUCET 2026 Phase 2 registration is currently underway. Eligible candidates can submit their applications online until July 15, 2026. During registration, applicants can choose their preferred examination slot based on availability. The CUCET Phase 2 examination is being conducted until July 16, 2026. The admission-cum-scholarship test enables students to compete for scholarships while seeking admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes offered by the university.
