IITs Host Open House for JEE Advanced 2026 Qualified Students

The Indian Institutes of Technology, or IITs, are now hosting special open house events for students who passed the JEE Advanced 2026 exam. These events are happening in both online and offline modes. Students who want to take admission to these top engineering colleges can join the open house. It will help them get more details about different BTech courses and future career paths.
The main goal of the open house events is to guide students so they can make good decisions for their future studies. Teachers and experts at the IITs will share deep insights about campus life, research work, and sports activities. Students can also ask questions about hostel rooms, course fees, and international student exchange programs.
JEE Advanced 2026 Open House Event: Big Growth in Passing Numbers and Available Seats
This year, a very large number of students registered for the difficult entrance test. A total of 1,87,389 candidates registered for the JEE Advanced 2026 exam. Out of these, 1,79,694 candidates actually sat for both Paper 1 and Paper 2 on May 17. The final results show that 56,880 candidates passed the test. This list of passed candidates includes 10,107 female students who are now ready for BTech admissions.
The upcoming seat allocation will take place through the JoSAA counselling 2026 process. There is great news for engineering aspirants this year. A total of 67,323 engineering seats are available across various colleges. Furthermore, authorities have added 4,470 new BTech seats to the seat matrix to help more students get admission into top engineering colleges.
JEE Advanced 2026 Open House Event: Key Dates and Timings
Different IITs are conducting their open house sessions on different days. Some colleges are using online video links, while others are using a hybrid model. JoSAA Counselling 2026 Details
To secure a seat in these premium institutes, students must take part in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority, or JoSAA counselling 2026. All qualified students can register on the official portal at josaa.nic.in.
This centralized counselling process manages admissions for multiple institutions. It allocates seats for IITs, National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), and Government Funded Technical Institutes (GFTIs). The official schedule states that the Round 1 seat allotment results will come out on June 13. Students should keep their documents ready for the online verification process.
