The National Testing Agency is expected to open the registration window for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 shortly. Candidates planning to appear for the April examination will be required to submit the application form through the official JEE Main portal once the process begins. The JEE Main 2026 April session exam is scheduled to be held from 2 April 2026 to 9 April 2026 in multiple shifts across designated examination centres.

Key Changes in JEE Main 2026 Application Process

The JEE Main 2026 application process includes new verification measures to improve accuracy and transparency. Aadhaar-based e-KYC has been introduced to validate candidate details such as name, date of birth, gender, and photograph. Any mismatch will require correction through authorised Aadhaar centres. Additionally, live photograph capture has been implemented during form submission. Candidates must use a webcam-enabled device, or alternatively upload a live image through a QR-based option provided during registration, along with scanned photographs as per guidelines.

 

Documents Required for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Registration

Before starting the application process, candidates should ensure that all mandatory documents and details are readily available. This helps in avoiding errors and delays during submission.

  • Valid mobile number and email ID
  • Class 10 marksheet or certificate
  • Aadhaar card or approved identity proof
  • Scanned photograph and signature
  • Category certificate for OBC-NCL or EWS candidates, if applicable
  • PwBD certificate, where applicable
  • Online payment details for application fee

 

Steps to Fill JEE Main Application Form 2026

The application process for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 will be conducted online only. Candidates must first complete registration, followed by detailed form submission and fee payment. After registration, candidates will receive an application number on their registered contact details. Using this, they can log in to complete personal information, academic details, paper selection, preferred exam cities, and document uploads. The form submission will be considered complete only after successful fee payment. Following the closure of registrations, the agency will provide a limited-time correction window to make permitted changes to the submitted application form.
