WE Hub Launches Campus to Career Program to Boost Women’s Industry Readiness

Telangana’s state-led women entrepreneurship organisation, WE Hub, has launched a new initiative designed to bridge the gap between higher education and employment for women students. In a move to enhance industry readiness and employability, WE Hub has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with over 20 colleges across the state to implement its Campus to Career programme through the flagship student-focused platform WE Enable.

Partnership with Telangana Colleges for Career Readiness

Under the new programme, WE Hub has entered into partnerships with a diverse group of academic institutions, including engineering, pharmacy, women’s, and multidisciplinary colleges. These collaborations aim to embed structured industry exposure, skill-based learning and professional guidance directly within the academic ecosystem, helping students to graduate with practical career skills rather than just theoretical knowledge.

Participating colleges include the likes of Methodist College of Engineering and Technology, RBVRR Women’s College of Pharmacy, Veeranari Chakali Illamma Women’s University, Vidya Jyothi Institute of Technology, Muffakham Jah College of Engineering and Technology and St. Joseph’s Degree & PG College for Women, among others. The network spans government and private institutions primarily from Hyderabad and the Rangareddy district.

Focus on Skills, Mentorship and Industry Exposure

The Campus to Career initiative aligns with broader education and employment goals by integrating WE Hub’s WE Enable programme into partner college environments. Through this approach, students will receive structured industry exposure, career mentorship, soft skills training and guided learning experiences that are tailored to current workplace needs. This is expected to enhance their professional competencies and help them transition smoothly from campus to job markets. WE Hub’s CEO highlighted that the initiative supports state and national priorities on youth empowerment, workforce readiness and education quality. By connecting academic learning with industry insights, the programme aims to equip women with the confidence and skills needed to succeed in competitive career environments.

Aligning Education with Future Workplaces

The Campus to Career model goes beyond traditional academic training by emphasising practical engagement with industry representatives and professional networks. Through workshops, project-based learning, internships, and professional mentoring, participating students are expected to gain hands-on experience that reflects real-world workplace expectations. This initiative complements other skill development efforts in Telangana that seek to address the employability challenge faced by graduates across sectors. By strengthening linkages between colleges and industry, WE Hub intends to create a sustainable pipeline of women talent ready to contribute effectively to a dynamic job market.

Future Impact on Women’s Career Outcomes

With this programme, WE Hub aims to not only improve immediate employability but also build long-term career trajectories for young women in the state. Through practical exposure combined with academic credentials, graduates can enhance their competitiveness when applying for jobs or entrepreneurial ventures. Overall, the Campus to Career initiative represents a key step in empowering women students with industry-relevant capabilities that align academic success with professional achievement.
