UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist Final Result 2025 Declared at Website

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has officially declared the Combined Geo-Scientist Final Result 2025. Candidates who appeared for the Personality Test held in September 2025 can now check their selection status on the Commission’s official website — upsc.gov.in. The final result has been prepared based on the performance in all three stages — Stage I (Preliminary) held on February 9, 2025, Stage II (Mains) on June 21 and 22, 2025, and the Interview round conducted in September 2025.

The Commission announced that a total of 20 candidates have been placed on a provisional list pending document verification. Their appointments will only be confirmed upon successful submission of required certificates within the stipulated period.

Posts Offered Under UPSC Combined Geo-Scientist 2025

Selected candidates will be appointed to various Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’ scientific posts in different departments under the Government of India. The roles include:

  • Geologist, Group ‘A’
  • Scientist ‘B’ (Hydrogeology), Group ‘A’ / Assistant Hydrogeologist, Group ‘B’
  • Geophysicist, Group ‘A’ / Assistant Geophysicist, Group ‘B’
  • Chemist, Group ‘A’ / Assistant Chemist, Group ‘B’
  • Scientist ‘B’ (Chemical), Group ‘A’

The final appointments will depend on vacancy availability, eligibility verification, and completion of document formalities as per government norms.

 

Provisional Candidature and Document Verification

UPSC has clarified that 20 candidates have been kept on a provisional list due to pending documentation. These candidates must submit their original documents within three months from the date of the result announcement. Failure to do so will lead to cancellation of candidature. Once the verification process is complete, the Central Government will finalize appointments based on merit ranking and service preference provided by each candidate.

 

Marks and Facilitation Counter

The marks of all qualified candidates will be uploaded on the UPSC official website within 15 days from the declaration of the final result. For any queries or clarifications, candidates can contact the UPSC Facilitation Counter located at the Commission’s premises between 10 AM and 5 PM on working days.
