NEET PG 2025 Counselling Begins: Schedule, Registration & Cut-Offs

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) announced the Round 1 counselling schedule for the NEET PG 2025 under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) and participating state quota seats. Registration for Round 1 is open and will continue until 5 November 2025. Choice filling is underway and seat allotment results are expected on 8 November 2025. A total of four rounds are planned, with the full process likely to conclude by January 2026.

Before participation in counselling, candidates must fulfil qualifying criteria and follow the registration steps as outlined below:

Eligibility and registration

  • Only those who qualified NEET PG 2025 and secured the minimum cut-off percentile are eligible for counselling.
  • Registration is executed online via the MCC portal. New candidates must create a profile; those already registered in previous rounds may not need to re-register.
  • After registration, candidates must submit choices of college and course, pay the required fees, lock their selections, and await allotment.
  • Reporting to the allotted institute with required documents is mandatory within the prescribed timeline.

Round-wise allotment and up-gradation

  • The counselling includes multiple rounds: Round 1, Round 2, subsequent rounds including mop-up or stray vacancy rounds.
  • Candidates allotted a seat in a round may opt for “up-gradation” in next round subject to conditions, or retain their allotted seat.
  • If a candidate opts for free exit (does not report), the seat is released and they may participate in further rounds based on eligibility.
