NEET SS 2025 Cutoff Reduced to 30th Percentile: Revised Scores Details Here

The NEET SS 2025 cutoff has been reduced from the 50th percentile to the 30th percentile by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). The revised NEET SS 2025 qualifying cutoff has been issued following the recent Supreme Court order and the subsequent decision of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.

With the NEET SS 2025 cutoff reduction, candidates who secured 30th percentile or above in their respective question paper groups have now been declared qualified for the counselling process. The revised list of qualified candidates has also been shared with the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

What Changed in NEET SS 2025 Cutoff?

Earlier, candidates had to secure at least the 50th percentile in NEET SS 2025 to qualify. NBEMS has now lowered the qualifying percentile to 30th percentile.

The change applies to the different NEET SS question paper groups, with the actual qualifying marks varying according to the group. The NEET SS 2025 revised cutoff marks are calculated out of 600.

The decision follows the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's action after the Supreme Court's September 17 order. Earlier reports had also highlighted vacant super-speciality seats after the second counselling round.

NEET SS 2025 Revised Cutoff Marks Group-Wise

The revised NEET SS cutoff 2025 differs across question paper groups even though the qualifying percentile is now 30th. The Medical group has a revised qualifying score of 175, while Radiodiagnosis has a cutoff of 315 out of 600.

NEET SS 2025 Cutoff Reduction and Counselling Eligibility

Candidates who have secured marks equal to or above the revised NEET SS 2025 qualifying cutoff are now considered qualified. The updated result information has been forwarded to MCC for the counselling process.

However, qualifying under the revised NEET SS 2025 cutoff does not itself indicate allotment of a DM, MCh or DrNB seat. Candidates still have to participate in the applicable counselling process and meet the admission requirements.

NEET SS 2025 Revised Result and Rank Details

NBEMS has clarified that the NEET SS 2025 question paper group-specific ranks will not change because of the cutoff reduction. The ranks were originally declared with the NEET SS 2025 result on January 23, 2026.

NBEMS has also stated that no fresh scorecard will be issued following the reduction in the qualifying percentile. Candidates should therefore retain their existing NEET SS 2025 result and scorecard details.

Candidates who become eligible under the NEET SS 2025 revised cutoff should track the MCC counselling updates and check the applicable counselling requirements. The revised qualifying status expands the pool of candidates eligible to participate in the next counselling process.

Candidates should also verify their question paper group, score and qualifying status through the official NBEMS updates before proceeding with counselling-related formalities.
