CAT 2026 Registration Closed: Correction Window, Fee Payment & Admit Card Details Here

CAT 2026 Registration has officially closed for new applicants. IIM Indore, the conducting institute for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2026, closed the CAT 2026 Registration window on September 22 at 5 PM after extending the original deadline. However, candidates who completed the CAT 2026 Application Form before the deadline but have not yet paid the examination fee can complete the payment until September 24, 2026, at 5 PM.

There will be no fresh registration after the deadline. Candidates who successfully completed their applications should now track the CAT 2026 Correction Window, CAT 2026 Admit Card and CAT 2026 Exam Date updates. The CAT 2026 exam is scheduled for November 29, 2026, in three shifts.

What Happens After the CAT 2026 Registration Deadline?

The closure of CAT 2026 Registration does not mean the admission test process is over. Applicants who submitted their forms and completed the required fee payment can now wait for the next stages of the CAT 2026 examination process.

The most important upcoming events are the CAT 2026 Application Correction Window, admit card release and the CAT 2026 exam itself. IIM Indore has indicated a limited correction facility for selected application details.

Candidates who did not register before September 22 cannot use the correction facility to submit a new CAT application.

CAT 2026 Fee Payment Deadline Extended to September 24

Although the CAT 2026 Registration Last Date has passed, the fee payment window has been extended for candidates who had already completed the registration process. The CAT 2026 Registration Fee Payment Deadline is September 24 at 5 PM.

Candidates should complete the payment within this additional window. An application without the prescribed examination fee will not be treated as a completed CAT 2026 application.

The CAT 2026 application fee is Rs 2,700 for General, EWS and NC-OBC candidates and Rs 1,350 for SC, ST and PwBD candidates.

Which Details Can Be Edited in CAT 2026 Correction Window?

The CAT 2026 Correction Window is expected to open in the first week of October 2026, although IIM Indore has not announced the final correction dates yet. The facility is intended for candidates who have already submitted their CAT application and paid the examination fee.

The CAT 2026 Application Form Correction facility is expected to allow changes to selected fields, including:

• Photograph
• Signature
• Test-city preferences

Candidates should not assume that every field in the CAT 2026 Application Form will become editable. Details such as personal information, academic information and category-related information are not expected to be available for modification through the limited correction facility.

IIM Indore is expected to announce the exact CAT 2026 Correction Window Dates on the official CAT website.

CAT 2026 Admit Card Release Date and Exam Schedule

After the correction process, the next major milestone will be the CAT 2026 Admit Card. IIM Indore is scheduled to release the CAT 2026 Admit Card on November 4, 2026 for eligible applicants. Candidates will be able to download the hall ticket using their CAT login credentials.

The CAT 2026 Exam Date is November 29. The examination will be conducted in computer-based mode across designated test centres and in three shifts. The test duration will be two hours.

Candidates should check the admit card carefully after download for their name, photograph, signature, test centre, examination date, session and reporting instructions.
