GSEB SSC Improvement Exams 2026 Introduced With Best of Two Policy

Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has announced a new improvement opportunity for Class 10 students through the SSC Supplementary Examination 2026. The board will allow students to improve their marks under a “Best of Two” policy during the June examination session.

The decision has been introduced for students who either failed in one or more subjects or wish to improve their performance in the main SSC board examination. The Gujarat Board had declared the GSEB SSC Result 2026 on May 06, 2026, with an overall pass percentage of 83.86%.

What is GSEB SSC Improvement Exam 2026 Best of Two Policy?

Under the revised policy, students can appear for supplementary examinations in all subjects. The board will consider the higher score obtained between the main examination and the supplementary examination as the final result. Before applying for the supplementary examination, students should understand that earlier marks will not be cancelled under this system.

  • Students must secure at least Grade D
  • Grade D corresponds to 33–40 marks
  • Differently-abled candidates need only 20% marks to qualify
  • Passing status will be granted only after meeting subject-wise eligibility criteria
