The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has released a circular outlining how examiners and schools must enter Class 12 practical exam marks and Class 10 internal assessment marks online. Submission windows and portal details are provided as the Gujarat board prepares for the 2026 SSC and HSC exams.

GSEB 2026 Guidelines for Filling Class 12 Practical & Class 10 Internal Marks

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has issued official guidelines for entering marks related to Class 12 board practical exams and Class 10 internal assessments for the Board Exam 2026 cycle. These procedures aim to ensure accurate and timely submission of scores for both theory and practical components ahead of the SSC and HSC examinations.

Submission of GSEB Class 12 Practical Exam Marks

Examiners responsible for board practical tests in subjects such as Chemistry, Physical Science and Biology must upload student scores online using the designated GSEB portals. Key points include:

  • Mark's entry opens from 5 February 2026.
  • Examiners must use official board portals like gseb.org, gsebpractical.in or scicenter.gsebpractical.in to enter scores.
  • Scores should be submitted based on the SID number assigned to each candidate.
  • Only valid marks entered within the specified window will be accepted.

This process ensures that practical performance records are officially logged before the board theory exams begin later in February-March 2026.

Entering GSEB Class 10 Internal Assessment Marks

Similarly, schools are required to enter internal assessment marks for Class 10 (SSC) students online through the GSEB portal. The procedure includes:

  • Schools to begin uploading internal marks from 5 February 2026.
  • The deadline for internal mark entry is 21 February 2026.
  • Submission must be done via the official gseb.org portal.
  • These internal marks contribute to the final board result alongside theory exam scores.

Accurate and timely internal assessments are essential as they directly impact a student’s final SSC result.

GSEB Verification and Compliance

The board’s circular stresses the importance of correct data entry and reliability:

  • Examiners and schools must ensure that all marks are accurately filled as per evaluations.
  • Data entered after the deadline may not be accepted, affecting results generation.
  • Proper use of candidate identifiers (e.g., SID numbers) is emphasised to avoid mismatch errors.

These guidelines align with the board’s broader efforts to hold examinations smoothly and uphold assessment integrity for the GSEB Board Exam 2026.

What GSEB Students Should Know?

While these procedures are largely administrative, students are advised to:

  • Confirm that their practical scores and internal marks are reflected correctly through school coordinators.
  • Report any discrepancies to their school authorities promptly before deadlines.
  • Stay updated with any official board notifications related to evaluation and marks entries as the GSEB SSC and HSC exams approach in late February 2026.

Timely and accurate marks entry is critical to preparing for final result processing and certification.
