GSEB SSC, HSC Exam 2026 Begins Feb 26, Day 1 Subjects & Timings

The Gujarat Board will begin SSC and HSC board examinations for the 2025–26 academic session from 26 February 2026. On the first day, Class 10 and Class 12 students will appear for language and core subject papers as per the notified schedule.
GSEB SSC, HSC Exam 2026 will begin from 26 February as scheduled by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board. The board will conduct Class 10 (SSC) and Class 12 (HSC) examinations across Gujarat in offline mode at designated centres. Students are advised to verify subject-wise timings printed on their admit cards before reporting to the exam venue.
GSEB SSC, HSC Exam 2026 Day 1 Subjects and Timings
The Gujarat Board has scheduled different subjects and reporting times for SSC and HSC candidates on the first day of the examination. Students must reach their centres well before the reporting time to complete verification procedures smoothly. Below are the Day 1 exam details for both classes.
- GSEB SSC (Class 10):10:00 AM to 1:15 PM – First Language paper, including Gujarati, Hindi, Marathi, English, Urdu, Sindhi, Tamil, Telugu, and Odia.
- GSEB HSC (Class 12):10:30 AM to 1:45 PM – Physics for Science stream students and Sahkar Panchayat for General and Commerce streams.
The board has reiterated that exams will be held under strict supervision, and late entry may not be permitted after the scheduled gate closing time.
GSEB SSC, HSC Admit Card Details and Entry Rules
Students must carry their original GSEB admit card on every examination day. Entry into the exam hall will not be allowed without a valid hall ticket. The admit card contains essential details such as student name, roll number, exam centre address, subject-wise schedule, and important instructions. Candidates are also required to carry their school identity card along with the hall ticket for identity verification at the centre.
GSEB Exam Day Guidelines 2026: What to Carry?
To avoid last-minute issues, students should ensure they carry only permitted items to the examination centre. The board has advised candidates to strictly follow exam-day instructions mentioned on the admit card. Students must carry:
- Original GSEB Admit Card 2026
- School ID card
- Blue or black ballpoint pens (extra pens recommended)
- Transparent water bottle
- Clear stationery pouch containing only allowed items
Electronic devices, smart watches, calculators, and unauthorised materials are strictly prohibited inside the examination hall. Students are advised to follow all guidelines carefully to ensure a smooth conduct of the Gujarat Board Exams 2026.
