GSEB Preboard Exams 2026 Begin, SSC and HSC Dates Announced

GSEB has started the preboard exams for SSC and HSC students from today till 03 February 2026. The Gujarat board exams for SSC and HSC will be held from 26 February to 18 March 2026. HSC Science practical exams begin from 05 February 2026, and schools must submit marks by 20 February 2026.
The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has started conducting the preboard examinations for SSC and HSC students from today. The preboard exams will continue till 03 February 2026.
These exams are being organised by schools to help students prepare for the upcoming Gujarat board examinations. The board has also announced the complete schedule for SSC, HSC, and practical exams.
GSEB SSC and HSC Board Exam Dates 2026
GSEB will conduct the Gujarat board exams for both Class 10 and Class 12 students from 26 February 2026. The important board exam dates are given below:
- GSEB SSC Exam 2026: 26 February to 18 March 2026
- GSEB HSC Exam 2026: 26 February to 18 March 2026
Students must complete their final revision during the preboard period, as the main examinations will begin soon after.
GSEB HSC Science Practical Exam Schedule 2026
GSEB has also announced the timeline for Class 12 Science practical examinations. A brief overview of the practical exam schedule is provided below:
- GSEB HSC Science Practical Exam Start Date: 05 February 2026
- Last date for schools to submit practical marks: 20 February 2026
Schools are required to submit the marks within the given deadline to avoid issues during result processing.
GSEB HSC Hall Ticket 2026 Released for Practical Exams
The board released the GSEB HSC hall ticket 2026 for practical examinations on 27 January 2026. Students appearing for practicals must collect their admit cards through their respective schools. The hall ticket is mandatory for entry into the examination hall.
GSEB Board Exam 2026 Important Instructions for Students
GSEB has issued key exam-day guidelines that all students must follow strictly. These instructions are important to ensure smooth conduct of the examinations. Students must note the following rules:
- Students should reach the examination hall at least 30 minutes before the exam begins
- Electronic devices such as mobile phones and calculators are not allowed inside the exam hall
- The GSEB SSC/HSC admit card must be carried on all exam days
- Any student found using unfair means will be debarred immediately from the examination
