The Central Board of Secondary Education strengthened its focus on student wellbeing by hosting the National Adolescent Summit 2025 at its headquarters in New Delhi on December eight, twenty twenty-five. Organised in alignment with the National Education Policy 2020, the summit brought national attention to adolescent mental health, digital safety, and inclusive school environments. The theme of the event, “Empowering Adolescents: Voices, Choices and Wellbeing,” reflected CBSE’s growing emphasis on holistic education. The official tagline, “Creating Safe Spaces for Every Teen,” underscored the board’s push towards emotionally secure and student-centric school ecosystems.
Focus on Mental Health, Digital Safety and Identity
Senior psychologists, healthcare professionals, counsellors, and CBSE school leaders participated in panel discussions that examined critical dimensions of adolescent development. Key areas addressed during the summit included:
- Mental and emotional wellbeing
- Digital safety and responsible online behaviour
- Identity, diversity and inclusion
- Healthy lifestyle practices
- Career awareness and future readiness
Experts highlighted the rising need for structured school counselling frameworks and sustained student engagement programmes across Indian schools.
Day-Long Programme with Interactive Sessions
The summit followed a well-structured format built around knowledge sharing and student interaction. The agenda included:
- Inaugural session
- Two plenary sessions
- Three panel discussions
- Youth engagement segment
- School counselling showcase
- Student cultural performances
These sessions enabled school leaders to exchange best practices while allowing students to express their views through creative platforms.

A dedicated segment for student participation served as one of the defining elements of the summit. Young participants presented their perspectives through:
- Nukkad natak
- Poetry recitation
- Mime acts
- Dance drama
- Musical performances

Participation from Across India and Abroad
The National Adolescent Summit 2025 witnessed the participation of over eight hundred delegates, including more than seven hundred and fifty principals, vice-principals, counsellors, and wellness teachers from Delhi-NCR, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and over twenty other states and union territories. International participation from Muscat, Oman, further highlighted the growing global attention towards Indian school wellbeing initiatives.
CBSE Board Exam Dates 2026 Also Reiterated
Alongside the summit update, CBSE has already announced the Class Ten and Class Twelve board examination schedule for twenty twenty-six through an official circular. As per the released datesheet:
- Class Ten (Phase One) examinations will be held from February seventeen to March ten, twenty twenty-six
- Class Twelve examinations will be conducted from February seventeen to April nine, twenty twenty-six in pen-and-paper mode
The summit reaffirmed CBSE’s long-term strategy to integrate academic excellence with emotional wellness and safety in schools nationwide.
