BITS Design School (BITSDES), a constituent institution under BITS Pilani, has officially opened applications for its four-year Honours Programme for the 2026–30 academic session. The institute has announced that the application deadline is February 1, 2026, and aims to admit 180 students to its upcoming cohort.
Admission Through NID-DAT, UCEED, or BITSDAT 2026
Applicants can qualify for admission through three recognized design entrance routes —
- NID Design Aptitude Test (DAT) Prelims
- Undergraduate Common Entrance Exam for Design (UCEED)
- BITS Design Aptitude Test (BITSDAT)
Candidates applying with NID-DAT or UCEED scores must submit their roll numbers along with the application form. Those who wish to appear for BITSDAT 2026 must complete their applications before the February 1 deadline to be eligible for the institute’s internal test.
BITS Design Aptitude Test (BITSDAT 2026) Schedule
The BITSDAT 2026 will be conducted online from March 31 to April 5, 2026. The one-hour test will assess creativity, problem-solving ability, and visual thinking skills. Candidates who successfully register will be allowed to upload their entrance test scores between April 8 and April 12, 2026, on the official portal.
Selection Process and Important Dates
The shortlist of candidates will be released on April 16, 2026. Shortlisted students will need to upload their portfolios between April 16 and April 20, 2026. The online interview round is scheduled between May 2 and May 12, 2026, and the final list of selected candidates will be announced on May 18, 2026.
