CTET 2026 Exam on February 8; Notification Soon at ctet.nic.in

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the CTET 2026 exam on February 8, 2026, in two shifts for Paper 1 and Paper 2. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is held twice every year for candidates aspiring to become teachers in classes 1 to 8.

 

The CTET February 2026 notification is expected to be released soon on the official website — ctet.nic.in. Once released, candidates can register, fill out the application form, upload documents, and pay the required fees online.

 

CTET 2026 Paper Details

The CTET 2026 exam will be held in two sessions on the same day. Each paper will be of 2 hours 30 minutes duration.

CTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Paper 1

Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of D.El.Ed or B.El.Ed.

Paper 2

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in B.Ed or equivalent course.

Note: Candidates who meet eligibility for both papers can apply for both Paper 1 and Paper 2.

 

CTET 2026 Application Process

Once the notification is out, candidates can apply online through the CTET official website. The process includes registration, form filling, document upload, and fee payment.

 

Steps to Apply for CTET 2026 Exam

  1. Visit the official website — ctet.nic.in.
  2. Click on “Apply for CTET 2026” or “New Candidate Registration.”
  3. Complete the registration by entering your personal and contact details.
  4. Use your application number and password to log in.
  5. Fill in the application form with all required academic details.
  6. Upload documents — recent passport-size photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  7. Select the paper(s) you wish to appear for and your preferred exam cities.
  8. Pay the application fee online.
  9. Review all details carefully and submit the form.
  10. Download and save the confirmation page for future reference.

 

CTET 2026 Exam Mode and Centres

The CTET 2026 February session will be conducted in offline mode (OMR-based) across multiple exam centres in India. Candidates must carry a valid photo ID, admit card, and other documents to the exam hall.

 

CTET Certificate Validity

The CTET eligibility certificate is now valid for a lifetime. Candidates who qualify can apply for teaching positions in central and state government schools, including Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs), Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVS), and other government-aided institutions.
