UP PGT Recruitment 2026: 2,607 Posts, Check Dates and Fee

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission (UPESSC) has released the UP PGT Teacher Recruitment 2026 notification for 2,607 Lecturer/PGT posts in aided non-government secondary schools. The notification was released on September 15, 2026, under Advertisement No. 06/2026.

The online application process will begin on September 18, 2026. Eligible applicants must complete One Time Registration (OTR) before filling out the UP PGT Teacher application form. The written examination is scheduled for December 15 and 16, 2026.

UP PGT Eligibility Criteria 2026

The educational qualification depends on the subject selected. For most subjects, applicants need a Postgraduate degree in the relevant subject along with a B.Ed. degree from an NCTE-recognised institution. Certain subjects have additional or different requirements.

UP PGT Age Limit 2026

The age limit is calculated as of July 1, 2026.

The date of birth mentioned in the High School or equivalent certificate is considered for age calculation.

UP PGT Exam Pattern 2026

The UP PGT written examination will have 120 multiple-choice questions carrying 360 marks. The exam duration is two hours. Each correct answer carries 3 marks, while 1 mark is deducted for an incorrect answer. The written exam will be followed by an interview carrying 40 marks.
