Eligibility depends on the post. Medical positions require relevant medical qualifications and experience, while the Assistant Editor and legal posts have separate educational and experience requirements.
Some important requirements are:
- Assistant Professor (Anatomy): Relevant postgraduate medical qualification with at least three years of teaching experience in the concerned specialty.
- Assistant Professor (General Medicine): MBBS, relevant postgraduate qualification and three years of teaching experience.
- Assistant Editor: Bachelor's degree in Journalism/Mass Communication or specified alternative qualification, along with three years of relevant editing and publishing experience.
- Assistant Public Prosecutor: Degree in Law and three years of experience at the Bar.
- Ladakh Public Law Officer/District Litigation Officer/Law Officer: Bachelor's Degree in Law with two years of actual practice at the Bar.
- NDMC specialist posts: Relevant medical qualification, postgraduate qualification and required experience in the concerned specialty.
The age limit also varies by post and category. For example, the Assistant Public Prosecutor post has an upper age limit of 35 years for UR/EWS, 38 years for OBC and 40 years for SC/ST applicants, subject to applicable relaxations.
UPSC Recruitment 2026 Application Fee
The application fee for UPSC Advertisement No. 11/2026 is INR 25 for applicants who are not covered under the exemption.
