UP NEET PG 2025 Round 3 Dates Revised Again, Schedule & Merit Stats

The UP NEET PG 2025 counselling Round 3 schedule has been revised again by the Directorate General of Medical Education and Training, Uttar Pradesh, following updates to the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) calendar for All India Quota (AIQ) counselling. This revision adjusts key dates for choice filling, seat allotment, and allotment letter download ahead of admissions to MD, MS and DNB courses across state medical colleges.

Revised Counselling Schedule for UP NEET PG Round 3

According to the updated timeline:

  • Round 3 choice filling and locking: 6 February to 13 February 2026 (up to 5 PM)
  • Seat allotment result: 16 February 2026
  • Allotment letter download & reporting: 16 February to 19 February 2026

The choice filling window, which opened on 6 February, will now remain open through 13 February, giving candidates additional time to enter and lock their preferences for colleges and courses. Students must complete all steps including choice filling, locking and fee payment within the revised deadlines to remain eligible for seat allotment under the UP state quota.

Seats Available & Merit List Insights

After two rounds of counselling, a total of 1,458 MD and MS seats and 75 DNB seats remain unfilled across Uttar Pradesh medical colleges. These seats form the basis of the Round 3 seat matrix. As per the UP NEET PG Round 3 merit list, 8,935 candidates have registered and paid the required counselling fees. Among those registered, the lowest score accepted for registration was –20 marks, reflecting recent relaxations in NEET PG eligibility criteria introduced by the Health Ministry for postgraduate admissions. Two other candidates entered the process with –5 marks, while 290 candidates registered for DNB courses with a lowest score of 25 marks. General category candidates with 103 marks (7th percentile) and reserved category candidates with scores down to 0 percentile or below were eligible to participate following cut-off lowering for state and national counselling.

What Candidates Should Do Next?

Once the Round 3 seat allotment result is published on 16 February 2026, candidates who secure seats should:

  • Download the allotment letter between 16–19 February 2026.
  • Report to the designated college for verification and admission formalities within the specified dates.
