MCC has issued a notice asking medical colleges to verify their NEET PG 2026 seat matrices and report discrepancies before the Round 1 choice-filling deadline. Candidates should monitor official updates for any changes to the available postgraduate medical seats.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has asked participating medical colleges and institutes to verify their seat matrices for NEET PG Counselling 2026. The notice directs institutions to report discrepancies in postgraduate course seat counts before completion of the Round 1 choice-filling schedule. Candidates should check the official seat matrix and monitor MCC announcements for any updates affecting available seats.
NEET PG Counselling 2026 Seat Matrix Verification Notice
MCC has published a notice asking participating institutes, colleges and hospitals to verify the number of seats available in their postgraduate courses. Institutions must report any discrepancies to MCC before completion of the Round 1 choice-filling schedule.
Candidates can read the official seat matrix verification notice for the exact instructions. The MCC PG counselling portal also provides seat matrix documents and other counselling updates.
Why the NEET PG Seat Matrix 2026 Matters
The seat matrix shows the seats available across participating institutions, courses and applicable quotas. Candidates use this information to make informed choices during counselling.
The verification process is important for the following reasons:
- Seat accuracy: Institutes can identify discrepancies in their published seat counts.
- Course availability: Candidates can review the seats listed for relevant postgraduate courses.
- Choice filling: Accurate information helps candidates make informed decisions when arranging preferences.
- Counselling transparency: Official corrections can help reduce confusion about available seats.
Candidates should not assume that every discrepancy report will result in additional seats. Any confirmed revision should be checked through an official MCC notice or updated seat matrix.
NEET PG Counselling 2026 Round 1 Result Date
The Round 1 seat allotment result is scheduled for October 24, 2026, according to the published counselling schedule. The choice-filling deadline was October 22, 2026, at 10 AM. Candidates should check the official portal for the result and any revised instructions.
Important: Dates may change through official notices. Candidates should verify the latest schedule on the MCC PG counselling website.
What Candidates Should Do Next
Candidates should review the available seat matrix and retain a copy for reference. They should also check the latest counselling notices before making decisions based on seat availability. Any revised matrix should be treated as authoritative only when published through an official channel.
