The Punjab School Education Board has released the accreditation and renewal schedule for Punjab Open School admissions for the 2026-27 academic year. The schedule applies to schools seeking approval for admissions at the Matriculation and Senior Secondary levels. The accreditation process covers government, private, model schools, and institutions affiliated with the board.

 

Punjab Open School Accreditation 2026-27: Application Timeline

Schools intending to offer admissions under the Punjab Open School system must complete the accreditation process within the notified deadlines.

  • Without late fee: Up to 30 April 2026
  • With late fee: Up to 31 August 2026

Applications submitted after the initial deadline will attract a late fee of INR 6,700.

 

Accreditation Fees for Punjab Open School 2026-27

The board has prescribed separate fee structures for new accreditation and renewal at different academic levels.

  • Matriculation
    • New accreditation: INR 3,650
    • Renewal: INR 1,820
  • Senior Secondary
    • New accreditation: INR 4,850
    • Renewal: INR 1,820 per group

Government and model schools will be eligible for concessions on the prescribed accreditation fees, as per board norms.

 

Mode of Application and Submission Process

Schools must submit the accreditation application through the online Open School Portal using their official login credentials. After completing the online form, institutions are required to send a hard copy of the filled application to the office of the Secretary (Academics), Punjab School Education Board, S.A.S. Nagar (Mohali). The board has advised schools to ensure timely submission of both online and offline documents to avoid delays in approval.
