The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has started issuing provisional appointment letters to teachers selected for evaluation of answer scripts and other confidential tasks for the Annual Secondary Examination 2026. Bihar Board Issues Appointment Letters for Teacher Evaluation Work

The Bihar School Examination Board has commenced the issuance of provisional appointment letters to teachers assigned to evaluation duties for the Annual Secondary Examination 2026. This step forms part of the board’s preparatory process ahead of the marking and assessment phase following the state-level Class 10 evaluation cycle.

Who Is Eligible and How Letters Are Issued?

Provisional appointment letters have been released for teachers who completed the required online profile updates and eligibility verification on the board’s official systems. Eligible educators can now check and download their appointment letters using the board’s online portals, such as the designated evaluation letter website. Hard copies of appointment letters for key roles such as chief examiners and co-examiners are being dispatched to district education offices. Heads of schools are instructed to collect these documents through authorised representatives.

Instructions for Teachers and Schools

The board has emphasised that only those teachers who met the eligibility and verification criteria will receive appointment letters. Educators who have not updated their information, failed verification, or do not fulfil eligibility norms will not be issued letters. Teachers are advised to report any errors or discrepancies in their provisional letters promptly so corrections can be made before the evaluation process begins. District education officials and school heads have been directed to support the distribution and collection process.

Purpose of Appointment Letters

These letters are being issued ahead of the answer script evaluation phase of the Annual Secondary Examination 2026 to formally assign teachers to confidential duties such as script checking and moderation. This process is key to maintaining fairness and timeliness in result preparation. The board’s structured approach aims to ensure that only authorised and eligible teachers are involved in the evaluation process, reinforcing the integrity of the upcoming assessment cycle.
