The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) is preparing to issue the admit cards for the 2026 board examinations for both ICSE (Class 10) and ISC (Class 12) students. The admit cards are expected to be made available to respective schools by late January 2026, ahead of the scheduled commencement of board exams in February and March 2026.
Board Exam Dates for ICSE and ISC 2026
According to the official academic calendar, the board examinations under the CISCE are slated to begin as follows:
- ISC (Class 12) exams: Starting from 12 February 2026
- ICSE (Class 10) exams: Beginning from 17 February 2026
These examinations will be conducted in offline (pen-and-paper) mode at designated exam centres across India.
How Admit Cards Will Be Distributed?
Unlike some boards where individual candidates can download their own hall tickets, the ICSE and ISC 2026 admit cards will be made available for download by school authorities only. Once schools have accessed the official portal and downloaded the admit cards, students will receive their admit cards directly from their schools.
Upon receiving the admit card, students should:
- Verify all printed details such as name, date of birth, photograph, exam centre and subject list
- Keep the admit card in good condition until the conclusion of all board exams
- Carry it to the exam centre on every exam day, along with valid photo identification
Failing to produce the admit card at the exam hall may result in denial of entry.
Important Instructions on the Admit Card
The CISCE-issued admit card will contain key examination details and mandatory guidelines, including:
- Candidate’s name, class and photograph
- Roll number and subject codes
- Exam dates and reporting times
- Exam centre address and instructions for students
Students are expected to follow all rules noted on the admit card during the examination period.
Exam Day Preparation Tips
As the ICSE and ISC board exams approach, students should also consider:
- Arriving at the exam centre at least 30–45 minutes before the reporting time
- Carrying stationery items such as pens, pencils, erasers and geometry tools in a transparent pouch
- Reviewing the subject-wise timetable and syllabus ahead of exam dates
Strategic preparation and adherence to admit card instructions will help reduce last-minute stress and ensure smooth conduct of exams.
