The Post Graduate Medical Education Board (PGMEB) under the National Medical Commission (NMC) has instructed all medical colleges and postgraduate institutes to submit admission details for super speciality (SS) courses filled through the NEET SS 2024 examination. The directive stresses that admissions must strictly follow merit and transparency as per regulations.
Submission of Admission Details Through NMC Portal
Medical colleges and institutes have been directed to upload admission details online using the Student Admission Online Monitoring System on the NMC portal. The portal will remain open until October 15, 2025, and no entries will be allowed after this date. The NMC clarified that hard copies of admission data will not be accepted. Only online submissions will be considered valid for monitoring purposes.
Institutions must use their existing login IDs under the “College Login” section on the official website. Login credentials are case-sensitive, and accuracy in entering data is essential. Failure to submit the required details will result in the names of admitted students not appearing on the NMC website, with responsibility lying entirely on the college.
Role of State Directorates of Medical Education
The NMC has also instructed the Directorates of Medical Education (DME) of all States and Union Territories to submit admission details in their jurisdictions. These details must be sent via email within two weeks of the admission deadline.
Legal and Regulatory Compliance
PGMEB warned that any violation of the admission process could lead to the discharge of concerned students and legal action against institutions. Colleges are fully responsible for ensuring that the information provided is accurate and authentic. In cases of misleading or incorrect submissions, the NMC reserves the right to initiate legal or regulatory measures.
By tightening the reporting process, the NMC aims to uphold fairness, accountability, and transparency in postgraduate medical education across the country.
