The State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell, Maharashtra, has extended the institutional-level counselling datesfor several professional courses under MHT CET 2025, including LLB, BEd-MEd, BPEd, MPEd, and MEd. The decision applies to the academic year 2025–26 and comes as a relief for candidates affected by floods and technical issues.
The CET Cell stated that the extension was necessary due to flood and flood-like conditions in various regions and errors made by candidates while filling in their qualifying examination details.
CET Cell’s Decision to Extend Counselling Dates
In its official notification, the CET Cell explained that many candidates were unable to confirm their admission during the institutional-level round because of heavy rains and floods across Maharashtra. Additionally, several applications contained incorrect information regarding HSC, UG, or PG marks.
To ensure fairness and inclusivity, the CET Cell has reopened the application correction and choice-filling window from October 3 to October 5, 2025. This decision allows affected candidates to edit their forms and secure admission within the extended timeline.
“Due to flood-like conditions in many parts of the state and mistakes made while entering marks, candidates were unable to complete the process. Hence, the dates have been extended,” the notification stated.
