When will NLSAT 2027 be conducted?

NLSIU has announced the entrance exam date for the 2027–28 academic session. The test will take place at examination centres across India, giving applicants from different states an opportunity to appear.

Here are the important dates and admission details you should track.

Check the admission notice for your chosen course before relying on a general timeline. Application deadlines and admission requirements can differ between programmes.

Which courses can you apply for through NLSAT 2027?

NLSIU Bengaluru will use NLSAT 2027 for admission to selected undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes. Before registering, make sure the programme matches your academic background and career plans.

The B.A. (Hons.) programme is suitable for students interested in undergraduate study, while the LL.B. (Hons.) is intended for graduates seeking a professional law degree. The MPP programme focuses on public policy and related fields.

If you are considering a PhD, review the relevant research and eligibility requirements before applying.

What are the NLSAT 2027 eligibility requirements?

Your eligibility will depend on the programme you choose. The university publishes separate admission requirements for different courses, so do not assume that one qualification applies to every programme.

For the 3-year LL.B. (Hons.) and MPP programmes, the published eligibility criteria include:

• General category: A bachelor's degree with at least 45% aggregate marks.
• SC, ST, OBC-NCL and PwD categories: A bachelor's degree with at least 40% aggregate marks.
• Final-year students: You may apply if you meet the applicable conditions, but admission depends on completing the degree and meeting the required marks.

These criteria relate to the specified programmes. Check the official notification for the B.A. (Hons.) and PhD eligibility rules, including any additional requirements.

What should you know before the NLSAT 2027 exam?

With the exam scheduled for April 25, 2027, you have time to plan your preparation. Start by checking the syllabus and test pattern for your selected programme rather than preparing from a general law entrance exam guide.

Keep these points in mind:

• Read the programme-specific syllabus and examination instructions.
• Follow updates about registration and application deadlines.
• Check the examination centre details when they are announced.
• Keep your academic records and identity documents ready.
• Review the official website regularly for changes to the schedule.

The NLSAT is used for different programmes, so the test format and subject requirements may vary. Use the relevant admission notice to guide your preparation.

What happens after NLSAT 2027 results?

After the examination, follow the university's announcements for results, merit lists and admission instructions. For specified programmes, the final admission list is expected by the end of May 2027.

If you receive an offer, complete the required document verification and fee payment within the stated deadline. The academic session is scheduled to begin on July 1, 2027.
