NEET PG Counselling 2026 Round 1 registration begins on October 12, 2026, through the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) website. If you have qualified for NEET PG 2026 and want admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma or DNB courses, you must complete the online registration and fee payment by October 21. Choice filling will begin on October 13.

The first round covers 50% All India Quota (AIQ) postgraduate medical seats and seats at participating central universities, deemed universities and other institutions covered by MCC counselling. Check the complete schedule below before applying.

When is the NEET PG Counselling 2026 registration deadline?

The MCC has announced the Round 1 counselling schedule for the 2026 admission session. You should complete registration and payment within the specified period to take part in the seat allotment process.

Here are the important dates you need to remember.

Keep in mind that registration and choice filling are separate steps. Completing your registration alone does not finish the counselling process. You must also select your preferred colleges and courses within the choice-filling window.

You can register online through the official Medical Counselling Committee website. Use the PG Medical Counselling section to find the registration link, schedule and other admission notices.

Official website: mcc.nic.in

Before starting the application, keep your NEET PG details and personal information ready. Use an active mobile number and email address so you can receive counselling updates.

What is the NEET PG Counselling 2026 registration fee?

The counselling fee and security deposit depend on the type of institution and seat category. Before making payment, check the latest MCC information bulletin for the applicable amount and refund conditions.

Do not confuse the registration fee with the security deposit. These are separate payments, and the rules for returning the deposit depend on the counselling conditions. Check the official fee table before paying instead of relying on an old counselling notice.

What should you know before filling college choices?

Choice filling is an important part of NEET PG admission. Your preferences help determine which available seat may be allotted to you, based on the applicable merit, eligibility and seat-allocation rules.

Before locking your choices, remember to:

• Compare colleges and MD, MS, PG Diploma or DNB specialities.
• Check tuition fees, service bonds and stipend conditions.
• Review the seat matrix and course availability.
• Place your preferred options in the correct order.
• Complete choice locking within the announced deadline.
• Save a copy of your submitted choices.

Once you lock your choices, changes may not be possible under the applicable rules. Read the MCC instructions carefully before confirming your preferences.

What happens after the NEET PG Round 1 result?

The Round 1 seat allotment result is scheduled for October 24, 2026. If you receive a seat, you should follow the reporting instructions and complete admission formalities between October 26 and November 2.

Keep the required documents ready, including your NEET PG admit card and scorecard, MBBS degree or provisional certificate, internship completion proof, identity documents and category certificate, if applicable. Check the allotted college's instructions for its complete document list.

If you do not receive your preferred seat, check the official counselling rules and subsequent round schedule before deciding your next step.
