The qualifying requirement is based on percentile, with the applicable qualifying thresholds being 50th percentile for General and EWS candidates, 45th percentile for General-PwBD candidates and 40th percentile for SC, ST and OBC candidates.

However, the qualifying cutoff should not be confused with the admission cutoff. The actual rank required for admission to a particular college or speciality can vary depending on category, seat availability, college preference, speciality and counselling choices.
