Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has invited online applications for Assistant Engineer posts in E2 Grade through GATE 2026. The recruitment is being conducted under Advertisement No. 94/2026 for engineering graduates in Chemical, Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.

MRPL Assistant Engineer Vacancy 2026

MRPL has announced 26 Assistant Engineer vacancies across three engineering disciplines. Chemical Engineering has the highest number of posts, while Mechanical and Electrical Engineering posts are also available.

The Chemical Engineering posts include recruitment under the regular category, while the Mechanical and Electrical vacancies are part of the special recruitment drive for reserved categories.

MRPL Assistant Engineer Eligibility 2026

Applicants must have the required engineering qualification along with a valid GATE 2026 score in the relevant paper. Previous GATE scores will not be considered for this recruitment.

A minimum of 60% aggregate marks is required in the qualifying engineering degree. The minimum marks requirement is relaxed to 50% for SC, ST and PwBD applicants.

MRPL Assistant Engineer Age Limit

The upper age limit for UR and EWS applicants is 27 years as on September 19, 2026. Age relaxation is available to eligible reserved categories as per Government of India rules.

MRPL Assistant Engineer Application Fee

The application fee for MRPL Assistant Engineer Recruitment 2026 is INR 118, including applicable GST, for General, OBC (NCL) and EWS applicants.

The fee is non-refundable. Eligible applicants who are exempted from payment do not have to pay the application fee.

MRPL Assistant Engineer Salary 2026

Selected Assistant Engineers will be appointed in the E2 Grade. The pay scale is INR 50,000 to INR 1,60,000.

Apart from basic pay, the post carries benefits and allowances such as Dearness Allowance, HRA or township accommodation, medical benefits and other facilities according to MRPL rules.

The recruitment does not involve a separate MRPL written examination. Shortlisting will be based on the valid GATE 2026 score, after which shortlisted applicants will be called for further selection stages.
