The Medical and Health Recruitment Board (MHRB), Assam has released the MHRB Assam Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 notification for 560 Medical & Health Officer-I (M&HO-I) or equivalent posts. The vacancies are under the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of Assam.

The recruitment also includes horizontal reservation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities and Ex-servicemen. The vacancy numbers may be revised as per the requirements of the department.

MHRB Assam Medical Officer Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• An MBBS degree from a university recognised by the Medical Council of India is required.
• Registration with the Assam Medical Council is mandatory.
