The board examinations for Class 5 and Class 8 conducted by the Rajya Shiksha Kendra, Madhya Pradesh (RSKMP) have commenced from 20 February 2026 at various centres across the state. These assessments are aimed at evaluating foundational learning at the elementary and upper-primary levels.

 

MP Board Class 5 & 8 Exam Dates and Timetable 2026

The official timetable released earlier by the board is being followed this week:

  • Class 5 Exams: 20 February to 26 February 2026
  • Class 8 Exams: 20 February to 28 February 2026

All papers are being held in a single morning shift at designated centres under the supervision of school and board officials. Students were informed of the schedule in advance, with the date sheet published in December 2025 to facilitate preparation and planning.

 

Key Exam Day Guidelines for Students

Candidates and parents should take note of important instructions to ensure compliance with board regulations and avoid last-minute issues:

  • Students must reach the examination centre at least 30 minutes before the exam start time for verification and seating allocation.
  • Carry admit card (hall ticket) and a valid photo ID; entry may be refused without these documents.
  • Only essential stationery (pen, pencil, eraser) and a transparent water bottle are permitted.
  • Electronic devices, calculators, and prohibited items are not allowed inside the examination hall.
  • Students must remain seated until invigilators collect answer sheets and grant permission to leave

These guidelines aim to maintain fairness and discipline during the examination process.

 

Exam Objectives and Conduct

The Class 5 and Class 8 board exams are designed to measure students’ understanding of core subjects as per the Madhya Pradesh curriculum. Schools and examination staff have been instructed to enforce rigorous standards for seating, invigilation and adherence to the timetable.Parents and guardians have been encouraged to support students in managing time effectively during the examination period, ensuring they arrive well-prepared and calm on their respective exam days.
