The Maharashtra SSC (Class 10) Board Exams 2026 will be held from 20 February to 18 March 2026 for over 16 lakh students across the state. The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has released the detailed exam timetable, centre information, session timings and strict guidelines for students.

The 2026 Maharashtra SSC Class 10 board examination is scheduled to start on 20 February 2026 and conclude on 18 March 2026. The board exams are being organised by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE).

  • Exam End Date: 18 March 2026
  • Total Students Registered: More than 16.15 lakh students
  • Exam Centres: Around 5,111 locations statewide

The timetable is available on the official board website and was released well ahead of the exam cycle to help students plan preparation.

 

Maharashtra SSC Board Exam 2026: Timings, Sessions and Reporting Instructions

The board exams will be conducted in two daily sessions to accommodate various subjects and optimise logistics:

  • Morning Session: 11:00 AM onwards
  • Afternoon Session: 3:00 PM onwards

Students must reach their respective exam centres at least 30 minutes before the scheduled start time, carry their admit cards, and strictly follow all guidelines provided by MSBSHSE.

To uphold exam integrity across the state, the board has deployed heightened security measures:

  • CCTV cameras are installed in most centres
  • Flying squads deployed to monitor exam conduct
  • Sensitive centres under additional scrutiny
  • Centres with past irregularities have been cancelled or staff replaced to prevent misconduct

Last year’s SSC exams reported over 300 malpractice cases; this year’s focus is on strict enforcement of rules to ensure fair assessments.

Recognising the pressure students face during board exams, the board has made support arrangements:

  • State-level counsellors have been appointed

Maharashtra SSC Board Exam 2026: Practical and Internal Assessments

Students who miss practical or internal assessments due to valid reasons will be permitted to appear in “out of turn” exams on scheduled alternative dates, ensuring no one loses evaluation opportunities due to unavoidable situations.
