The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) conducted the Class 10 Mathematics exam 2026 on 18 February 2026 at 1,699 exam centres across the state. Security measures led to six students being expelled for malpractice and three impersonators being apprehended in unrelated districts, underscoring strict enforcement of exam conduct rules.

The BSEB Class 10 Board Examination 2026 Mathematics paper was held statewide on 18 February 2026 in two shifts for candidates appearing in the Bihar matric annual exams. The board reported a smooth overall conduct of the exam, while strict vigilance led to disciplinary action against multiple examinees for violating rules.

 

Bihar Board Class 10 Exam Conduct and Malpractice Cases

The Mathematics exam took place at 1,699 centres, with exams scheduled in two sessions, the first from 9:30 AM to 12:45 PM and the second from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. A total of 15,12,687 students registered to sit for the test, including 7,85,726 girls and 7,26,961 boys according to board data.

 

Under strict supervision from centre invigilators and board officials:

  • Six students were expelled from examination centres in Bhojpur district for using unfair means during the Mathematics paper.
  • Three impersonators were caught, with two arrested in Banka district and **one in Nawada district each attempting to take the exam on behalf of another registered candidate.

These measures reflect BSEB’s zero-tolerance approach to malpractice, aligning with broader efforts to ensure fairness and integrity in board assessments.

The board has been implementing extensive exam monitoring systems, including:

  • On-site invigilation by teachers and officials.
  • Enforcement of strict entry and conduct rules.
  • Provisions for visually-impaired students with alternate arrangements like a home science paper and additional time.

These steps aim to maintain a cheat-free environment and handle irregularities as per board regulations.

 

What’s BSEB Next in the Exam Schedule?

Following the Mathematics exam, the BSEB will continue the Class 10 examination schedule with other papers, including language and science subjects, conducted under similar supervision. Successful completion of the schedule will lead to tabulation of results later in the session. Students are advised to adhere strictly to board instructions, carry necessary documents such as admit cards and IDs, and prepare diligently for upcoming papers.
