Why Was the KEA UGCET Result Delayed?
Many students expected the scores to come out in late May. However, KEA had to delay the announcement to make sure the process was completely fair. The authority had to reschedule the Agriculture and Veterinary Practical Examination at the Hiriyur center.
This practical exam took place on June 1, 2026, after previous reports of malpractice forced a re-test. KEA needed to finish grading these practical tests and combine those marks with the main written exam data before creating the final KCET merit list.
How to Check KCET Result 2026 Online?
When the clock strikes 2 PM, the official servers will experience very high traffic. To avoid errors and check your KCET 2026 rank card quickly, follow this simple step-by-step guide:
- Visit the Official Website: Open your web browser and go directly to the official KEA website: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in or keaonline.karnataka.gov.in.
- Click the Result Link: On the homepage, look for the link that says "KCET Result 2026" or "UGCET 2026 Scorecard" under the latest announcements section.
- Enter Login Credentials: Type your unique KCET Application Number into the box. You will also need to enter the first four letters of your name exactly as they appear on your exam hall ticket.
- Submit and View: Click on the "Submit" or "Login" button. Your complete scorecard will appear on your screen.
- Download and Print: Check your subject-wise marks and final rank carefully. Download the scorecard PDF and print a few copies for future use.
Understanding the KCET 2026 Ranks: The 50:50 Rule
KEA calculates the final ranks using a strict 50:50 weightage formula. The system takes 50% of the marks from your KCET entrance exam performance and combines it with 50% of the marks from your Class 12 (II PUC) board exams.
Important Note: KEA asked all CBSE and ICSE students to upload their Class 12 marks cards through DigiLocker before the results. If a student failed to complete this step, KEA might withhold their rank card.
What Happens Next? KCET Counselling 2026
Once you have your scorecard, the next major step is KCET counselling 2026. KEA will soon publish the official counselling schedule on its website. The admission process will follow these stages:
- Document Verification: Students must verify their academic and reservation documents.
- Option Entry: You will log into the portal and select your preferred colleges and engineering branches in order of priority.
- Mock Allotment: KEA will run a trial round to show you which college you might get based on your rank.
- Final Seat Allotment: The final seats will be given, and students must pay the admission fee to lock their seats.
Make sure to keep your Class 10 cards, Class 12 cards, and category certificates ready for the verification rounds.
