The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has extended the KCET 2026 registration deadline till 22 February 2026. The last date for fee payment has also been extended to 24 February 2026. The KCET exam will be conducted on 23 and 24 April 2026.
The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has officially extended the KCET 2026 registration deadline for eligible candidates. According to the latest notice, candidates can now register for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 till 22 February 2026 on the official portal. Along with the registration extension, the last date to pay the KCET application fee has also been revised to 24 February 2026. Aspirants are advised to complete both the registration and fee payment processes before the revised deadlines to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
Revised KCET 2026 Registration Dates
The updated schedule for key application-related events is as follows:
- KCET 2026 registration last date: 22 February 2026
- Last date to pay application fee: 24 February 2026
- KCET 2026 exams: 23 April and 24 April 2026
This extension has been provided to give candidates additional time to complete their application formalities, particularly those who may have faced difficulties earlier in the process.
Why the Deadline Was Extended?
According to KEA’s official communication, the decision to extend the registration and fee payment deadlines was made in response to requests from candidates. A significant number of students — nearly 2.9 lakh — have already registered using their Aadhaar numbers. Of these, about 2.5 lakh have paid the application fee so far. The authority also shared progress on document verification, with online verification through SATS completed for nearly 1.8 lakh candidates, and college-level verification finalised for about 35,000 candidates.
Application Correction Window and Next Steps
Candidates who have already submitted their KCET 2026 application forms can use the application correction facility available on the portal. This allows students to edit any incorrect or incomplete details before the final closure of the registration process. The KCET 2026 exam will be held on 23 and 24 April, and admit cards are expected to be issued a few weeks prior to the exam. Candidates should ensure their registration and fee payment are completed well ahead of the revised deadline to avoid any last-minute issues. Stay updated for further announcements related to the KCET 2026 exam schedule, admit card release, and related notifications.
