KCET 2026 applications will open from 17 January 2026 through the state examination authority. The entrance exam is scheduled for April 2026, and candidates must upload prescribed documents during registration.
The KCET 2026 application process will commence on 17 January 2026, as announced by the Karnataka Examinations Authority. Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate courses through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test will be required to submit their applications online within the notified schedule. Along with the application form, the detailed notification outlining eligibility, exam dates, and the admission process will also be issued by the authority.
KCET 2026 Exam Dates and Schedule
The Karnataka CET will be conducted in offline mode across multiple centres in the state. Candidates must note the exam dates carefully while planning their preparation and application submission. Key dates announced so far include:
- KCET application start date: 17 January 2026
- KCET exam dates: 23 April 2026 and 24 April 2026
- Kannada language test (where applicable): 22 April 2026
Only candidates who complete the registration process successfully will be allowed to appear for the examination.
Documents Required for KCET Application Form 2026
Before starting the application process, candidates are advised to keep all mandatory documents ready in the prescribed format. These documents will need to be uploaded during online registration as per official guidelines. The commonly required documents include:
- Class 10 (SSLC) marks card issued by Karnataka board
- Class 12 (2nd PUC) marks card, if already passed
- Category or reservation certificates, if applicable
- Recent passport-size photograph in JPG format
- Candidate’s signature in JPG format
- Left-hand thumb impression in JPG format
Candidates belonging to special categories such as Non-Creamy Layer or Hyderabad-Karnataka region must ensure that valid certificates are available at the time of application.
Is a Study Certificate Mandatory for KCET 2026?
Study certificates are generally required as supporting documents to verify eligibility conditions related to domicile or academic history. Applicants should keep their SSLC, PUC, or other relevant study certificates ready, as these may be required during registration or the later verification stages.
