KCET Important Notes for SC/ST Candidates
KEA has advised that many Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) applicants submitted older caste certificates lacking internal reservation category details (Category A, B, C). Candidates must secure an updated certificate from the jurisdictional Tahsildar and update the Revenue Department (RD) number correctly in their KCET application before 30 March 2026 to remain eligible for reserved category seat allotments. Only applicants who update the correct RD number reflecting the internal reservation category will be considered during seat allotment under respective reserved categories.
Why Does This KCET Correction Facility Matter?
The KCET correction window acts as a valuable opportunity for applicants to fix mistakes such as spelling errors, reservation details, academic information and other particulars that could affect eligibility, counselling, and future allotment processes. It ensures that candidates’ final application data is accurate and complete before evaluation and seat placement commence. Students and applicants are advised to keep checking official KCET updates through cetonline.karnataka.gov.in and complete all corrections well before 30 March 2026 to avoid last-minute issues.
