IIM Indore Post-Doctoral Fellow Eligibility

Candidates applying for the IIM Indore Post-Doctoral Fellowship must meet the academic requirements prescribed by the institute.

Key eligibility conditions include:

• Candidates must have successfully defended their Ph.D.
• The Ph.D. should have been completed within five years of the application.
• The degree must be from a premier institute or university, excluding IIM Indore.
• Candidates must have secured at least 60% marks or First Division in the master's degree or the degree immediately preceding the Ph.D.
• A minimum B-category publication or above in the ABDC or equivalent journal list is desirable.

IIM Indore Post-Doctoral Fellow Research Areas

The institute has announced fellowship opportunities in two areas.

Marketing

The Marketing Post-Doctoral Fellow position is associated with research in Product and Brand Management. The faculty mentor for this position is Prof. Abhishek Mishra.

Operations Management and Quantitative Techniques

The OM & QT position focuses on Applied Statistics, Applied Probability and/or Artificial Intelligence. Prof. Aditya Maheshwari is the faculty mentor for this fellowship.

IIM Indore Post-Doctoral Fellow Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated stipend of INR 60,000 per month. The institute will also provide a one-time start-up fund of INR 40,000 for purposes such as attending conferences and purchasing computing devices.

Publication incentives are also available for publishing research in high-quality journals.

Subject to availability, fellows can get campus accommodation at a discounted rate of INR 3,000 per month. Office space and other facilities such as internet, library and bus services may also be available.

IIM Indore Post-Doctoral Fellow Responsibilities

The selected Post-Doctoral Fellows will work jointly with resident faculty members in their respective research areas.

Major responsibilities include:

• Conducting academic research with the faculty mentor.
• Developing independent research capabilities.
• Teaching at least one 4-credit course per year of the fellowship tenure.
• Contributing to research publications.
• Producing at least one research article in an A-category or higher journal, as per ABDC or equivalent classification, per year from the collaboration.

The fellowship is contractual and can continue for a maximum of two years, subject to annual renewal and performance review.
