HPPSC HPAS Recruitment 2026 application process is closing today, September 22, 2026. The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) is conducting the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service Combined Competitive Examination 2026 for recruitment to 22 posts across different departments. The application and fee payment deadline is 11:59 PM today.

The recruitment notification, Advertisement No. 59/8-2026, was released on August 26, 2026. Applicants who meet the eligibility conditions must complete the online application through the HPPSC One Time Registration (OTR) portal before the deadline.

HPPSC HPAS 2026 Application Last Date and Fee

The HPPSC HPAS application form must be submitted online through the Commission's OTR portal. Both the application and examination fee payment close on September 22, 2026, at 11:59 PM.

HPPSC has prescribed a uniform INR 600 examination fee for applicants irrespective of category. The fee is non-refundable. Applications submitted without the prescribed fee can be rejected.

HPAS Recruitment 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfil the educational and age requirements mentioned in the HPPSC HPAS notification.

Educational Qualification

• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised university is required.
• Applicants appearing in a qualifying examination may also apply in the circumstances specified in the notification.
• Medical graduates who have passed the final professional MBBS examination but have not completed their internship may be provisionally admitted, subject to the conditions mentioned by HPPSC.

Age Limit

The prescribed age limit is 21 to 35 years as on January 1, 2026.

A five-year upper-age relaxation is available for eligible SC, ST, OBC, Persons with Disabilities and Children/Grandchildren of Freedom Fighters of Himachal Pradesh, where applicable under the notified conditions. Separate provisions apply to certain HP Government employees and ex-servicemen.

HPPSC HPAS Exam Pattern 2026

The HPAS selection process consists of Preliminary Examination, Main Examination and Personality Test.

The HPAS Preliminary Examination has two objective papers of 200 marks each. The Aptitude Test is qualifying with a minimum requirement of 33%. Marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination are not counted for the final merit list.

The Main Examination includes English, Hindi, Essay, three General Studies papers and two papers related to the chosen optional subject. The final ranking is based on the Main Examination and Personality Test, with the prescribed exclusion of English and Hindi marks from overall ranking.
