DUSU Results 2026: Winners, Vote Count and Full List

DUSU Results 2026 have been announced for the four central panel posts of the Delhi University Students’ Union. ABVP’s Yash Dabas won the president’s post, while independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen secured the vice-president position. ABVP also won the secretary and joint-secretary posts.

The results were announced on Saturday, September 19, after voting for the DUSU elections. The four central panel positions are president, vice-president, secretary and joint secretary.

ABVP secured three of the four central panel positions: president, secretary and joint secretary. Deepanshu Shokeen won the vice-president election as an independent candidate.

DUSU President Result 2026: Yash Dabas Wins

ABVP's Yash Dabas was elected DUSU president after receiving 24,576 votes. NSUI's Vijay Shankar Meena finished second with 22,523 votes, while Left candidate Anaya Raturi received 5,377 votes.

Other candidates in the presidential contest included ASAP's Ashmit Kumar, Sameer Kumar, Ejaj Mansuri and Samarth Beniwal. Their vote counts were 1,388, 1,115, 837 and 819, respectively.

Deepanshu Shokeen Wins DUSU Vice-President Post

Independent candidate Deepanshu Shokeen won the DUSU vice-president election with 30,615 votes, the highest vote total among the four central panel winners reported by The Times of India.

Shokeen was previously associated with NSUI and contested the election independently. ABVP's Ishu Maurya received 16,910 votes, while NSUI's Vir Chatrath polled 4,313 votes. Left candidate Akshat Shikhar received 2,383 votes and Aranya Singh Rathore got 2,274 votes.

DUSU Secretary and Joint Secretary Results

ABVP also won the remaining two central panel positions. Riya Chhawdi secured the secretary post with 21,650 votes, while Lakshay Raj Singh won the joint-secretary election with 16,615 votes.

The secretary contest saw NSUI's Namrata Chaudhary receive 14,869 votes and Left candidate Stanzin Deskyong receive 8,734 votes. In the joint-secretary contest, Vishesh Yadav polled 15,778 votes and NSUI's Gopal Choudhary received 15,206 votes.

The four central panel results show three ABVP winners and one independent winner. The results also mark a different outcome for the vice-president post, which went to Shokeen after he contested independently.
