The NIT Warangal 24th Convocation 2026 is scheduled to take place on September 19 and 20, 2026, with undergraduate students receiving their degrees on the first day and postgraduate and PhD graduates attending the ceremony on the second day.

The National Institute of Technology Warangal will organise the main convocation ceremony at the Ambedkar Learning Centre (ALC). The ceremony will begin at 10 AM on both days and is expected to conclude around 1 PM. Graduands are required to occupy their designated seats by 9:30 AM.

The convocation is being held for students who successfully completed their programmes and whose results were declared between November 11, 2025, and September 2, 2026.

NIT Warangal Convocation 2026 Schedule

The two-day programme has been divided according to the academic level of the graduating students. The schedule also includes separate arrangements for institute medalists and award recipients.

The remaining UG and PG graduates will be seated in the Auditorium, while selected graduates, PhD students, medalists and award recipients will be accommodated at the ALC. Proceedings from the ALC will also be screened at other designated campus venues.

NIT Warangal Convocation 2026 Registration

The NIT Warangal Convocation 2026 registration deadline was extended up to September 15, 2026. Students with active NITWAS (ERP) accounts were required to register through the ERP portal, while students without ERP registration and eligible PhD students were instructed to use the prescribed Google Form.

Students attending the ceremony must also complete mandatory on-campus registration before receiving their admit card and convocation stole.

For UG graduands receiving degrees on September 19, on-campus registration is scheduled by 12:30 PM on September 18 at the Seminar Halls Complex. PG and PhD graduands receiving degrees on September 20 must complete on-campus registration by 12:30 PM on September 19 at the New Academic Building (NAB).

NIT Warangal Convocation 2026 Rehearsal Schedule

Attendance at the NIT Warangal convocation rehearsal is mandatory for students receiving their degrees in person.

The rehearsal will be conducted at 3 PM on the respective pre-convocation day. UG graduands must attend rehearsal on September 18, while PG and PhD graduands must attend on September 19.

Students are required to report to the Auditorium by 2:30 PM. NIT Warangal has stated that students who do not attend the rehearsal will not be permitted to receive their degree certificate during the convocation ceremony.

NIT Warangal Convocation 2026 Dress Code

The NIT Warangal Convocation 2026 dress code is mandatory for all participating graduands. The institute has specified traditional academic attire for the ceremony.

• Male students: White kurta and pyjama.
• Female students: White kurta with salwar/churidar or saree with a white or golden-coloured blouse.
• Graduands will be provided the official convocation stole.
• Formal shoes or sandals must be worn.
• Casual footwear or bathroom slippers are not permitted.
• Students wearing an outfit other than the prescribed dress will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.

NIT Warangal Convocation 2026 Important Guidelines

Graduands should keep the following instructions in mind before reaching the venue:

1. Carry the convocation admit card and other required documents.
2. Collect the convocation stole during on-campus registration.
3. Attend the mandatory rehearsal at the specified time.
4. Reach the ceremony venue at least 30 minutes before the start.
5. Follow the prescribed academic dress code.
6. Do not carry mobile phones, cameras or other electronic devices into the convocation venues.
7. Remain seated during the ceremony unless instructed otherwise.
