CSIR NAL MTS Eligibility Criteria 2026

Candidates must fulfil the prescribed educational and age requirements as of the last date for receipt of the hard-copy application.

Educational Qualification

• Candidates must have passed SSC/10th Standard from a recognised board or institution.
• The prescribed qualification is the minimum eligibility requirement.

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age for UR candidates: 25 years
• ST candidates: 5 years of relaxation
• OBC-NCL candidates: 3 years of relaxation
• Other relaxations will apply as per CSIR and Government of India rules.

CSIR NAL MTS Salary 2026

The selected candidates will be appointed under Pay Level 1 of the 7th CPC pay matrix.

The basic pay scale is INR 18,000 to INR 56,900. Candidates will also receive applicable allowances and benefits under CSIR and Central Government rules.

These may include Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, Transport Allowance, medical facilities, LTC and other applicable benefits.

CSIR NAL MTS Application Fee 2026

Candidates who are required to pay the fee must submit INR 500 through Demand Draft.

The Demand Draft should be drawn in favour of the Director, CSIR-National Aerospace Laboratories, payable at Bengaluru.

SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD and women candidates are exempted from paying the application fee.

CSIR NAL MTS Selection Process 2026

Candidates who meet the eligibility requirements will be considered for an OMR-based objective-type competitive written examination.

The examination will be conducted only in Bengaluru. The paper will contain 150 questions for a total of 450 marks, with a duration of two hours.

There will be a negative marking of one mark for every incorrect answer. The examination standard will be equivalent to Class 10.
