Chandigarh University Hosts EdVision 2025 to Promote AI in Education

Chandigarh University hosted the ‘EdVision, Annual Principals’ Conclave 2025: Reimagining Education Leadership in the Age of AI’ on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, bringing together over 150 principals from leading private and government schools across Chandigarh, Punjab, and Haryana. The event focused on the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in education and preparing students for future challenges.

AI and Education Leadership at EdVision 2025

The Conclave was inaugurated by Chandigarh Chief Secretary H Rajesh Prasad as Chief Guest, alongside Dr Radhika Singh, DPI (Colleges) Chandigarh, Nishant Johar, VP, Centre of Excellence, cloudEQ, Chandigarh University Vice-Chancellor Dr Raviraja N Seetharam, and Advisor to Chancellor Prof (Dr) RS Bawa. Over 150 school principals were felicitated for their contributions to educational excellence.

Speaking at the event, Chief Secretary H Rajesh Prasad emphasized the critical role of teachers in achieving Prime Minister’s vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047, stating that teachers “shape the youth to become responsible citizens guided by ethics, values, and innovation.”

AI Revolutionizing Teaching and Learning

Education leaders highlighted that AI is transforming teaching by personalizing learning, addressing individual student needs, and unlocking full potential. They stressed the ethical integration of AI from early schooling through smart classrooms, AR/VR experiences, AI-enabled assessments, and data-driven decision-making.

Nishant Johar noted, “AI complements human intelligence and offers unprecedented opportunities in education, but rules must be set to ensure its optimal use by students.”

Chandigarh University’s Role in Preparing Industry-Ready Students

Vice-Chancellor Dr Raviraja N Seetharam underlined the importance of integrating AI in curriculum, pedagogy, and research, equipping students with global exposure, internships, and job placements. With over 1,200 recruiters including Microsoft, Amazon, Walt Disney, IBM, Flipkart, and SAP Labs, Chandigarh University has become a leading destination for industry-ready talent.

The Conclave featured panel discussions, expert talks, and demonstrations of AI-driven educational tools, empowering principals to lead AI-enabled institutional change and foster innovation in classrooms. Participants explored strategies for ethical AI adoption and enhancing student learning outcomes.
