IIM Mumbai Launches New Digital Science and Business Management Degree

IIM Mumbai has announced a four-year bachelor's programme in Digital Science and Business Management. The new programme blends advanced technology fields with core management studies to prepare students for the digital economy.

 

IIM Mumbai Digital Science Course: Programme Highlights

The programme aims to build strong technological and managerial capabilities among undergraduate students. It integrates emerging fields such as artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), data science, internet of things (IoT) and robotics with business and management domains.The course has been developed with support from key knowledge partners, including industry bodies such as C414. The institute stated that the curriculum focuses on extensive practical exposure to help students become industry-ready professionals.

 

IIM Mumbai Digital Science Course: Industry Collaboration

The institute is collaborating with Accenture to embed internship-driven learning into the programme. This will enable students to work on real-world projects and understand digital business challenges closely.The goal is to create graduates who can lead in digitally transformed business environments by applying technology-driven solutions.

 

IIM Mumbai Digital Science Course: Global Partnership Plans

IIM Mumbai is also in discussion with IMT France to explore international collaborations. These discussions aim to provide students with opportunities for global academic exposure and cross-cultural learning.The programme follows the National Education Policy (NEP) guidelines and offers flexible entry and exit options to ensure wider accessibility.

 

IIM Mumbai Digital Science Course Admission and Infrastructure

To support this new undergraduate initiative, IIM Mumbai has received approval from the Minister of State (MoS) for Civil Aviation and Minister of State for Cooperation, Shri Murlidhar Mohol. The approval allows the institute to establish a small satellite complex in Pune.The Pune Municipal Corporation will provide an existing building for this purpose. The building will be renovated according to academic standards and will host educational activities related to the programme.
