CBSE will conduct special Class 12 exams in 40 subjects for eligible students from seven West Asian countries. LOC and examination-form submission is open from September 22 to 26, with no exam fee. The date sheet will be announced after the submission process is completed.
The CBSE Class 12 Special Exams 2026 will be conducted for eligible students in seven West Asian countries whose Class 12 board examinations could not be held earlier. The CBSE Class 12 special exam 2026 will cover 40 subjects, including 20 academic and 20 skill-based subjects.
The CBSE Class 12 Special Exam 2026 registration process is currently underway. Eligible regular candidates have to submit their List of Candidates (LOC), while eligible private candidates have to submit their examination forms between September 22 and September 26, 2026. No examination fee will be charged for the special exams.

The CBSE Class 12 special exam dates 2026 have not been announced yet. CBSE has stated that the examination schedule and date sheet will be communicated after completion of the LOC and examination-form submission process.

Countries Covered in CBSE Class 12 Special Exams 2026
The CBSE Class 12 special examination 2026 will be conducted only in the affected West Asian countries. These are Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The Board will not conduct these special examinations in any other country.
The CBSE special exam for West Asia students 2026 will be held at the existing examination centres. Students should therefore check the instructions issued through their respective schools and CBSE before the examination schedule is announced.
Eligibility for CBSE Class 12 Special Exams 2026
The CBSE Class 12 special exam eligibility 2026 is limited to candidates whose examinations were affected by the circumstances covered under the special assessment arrangement.
For regular candidates, students must be from CBSE-affiliated schools in the affected West Asian countries, have their LOC submitted for the 2026 Main Examination and have their results declared under the Assessment Scheme. Eligible students can appear in subjects of their choice.
Private candidates are also eligible if they had submitted their examination forms for the 2026 Main Examination and their results were declared under the Assessment Scheme.
Students who were absent from the 2026 Main Examination for any reason will not be eligible for the special examination. CBSE has also said that candidates who did not appear in the Main Examination cannot newly enter this special examination process.
Subjects Included in CBSE Class 12 Special Exams 2026
The CBSE Class 12 Special Exam 2026 subjects include 40 papers for which examinations could not be conducted earlier. The list contains both academic and skill subjects.
The academic subjects include Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Biology, Economics, Business Studies, English Core, Hindi Core, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology, History, Computer Science, Informatics Practices, Legal Studies, Arabic, French, Persian and Urdu Core, among others.
Skill subjects include areas such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Information Technology, Banking, Insurance, Tourism, Health Care, Food Production, Marketing, Yoga and Business Administration.
Candidates should verify their eligible subjects from the official CBSE notice before submitting the CBSE Class 12 special exam form 2026.
Result Rules for CBSE Class 12 Special Exams 2026
The CBSE Class 12 special exam result 2026 will be treated as the final result for the subjects in which a candidate appears. The marks obtained in the special examination will replace the candidate's earlier performance declared under the Assessment Scheme.
This means eligible students choosing to appear in the CBSE Class 12 West Asia special exam 2026 should carefully select the subjects in which they want to take the fresh examination.
CBSE has also clarified that no subject change will be permitted and no special examination will be conducted for a subject in which the Board had already conducted the examination.
