CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation 2026 Dates Out, Apply From May 19

CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation 2026 process will begin from May 19, 2026, for students who are not satisfied with their board examination marks. The Central Board of Secondary Education has released the post-result verification schedule after declaring the Class 12 results on May 13, 2026. Students can apply online for scanned copies of evaluated answer sheets, verification of marks, and re-evaluation through the official CBSE portal. The board has advised candidates to carefully review all details before submitting applications

CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation 2026 Important Dates and Schedule

CBSE has released the tentative timeline for answer sheet photocopy requests and re-evaluation applications. Students must complete all formalities within the prescribed dates because late submissions are generally not accepted. The complete schedule related to CBSE Class 12 verification and rechecking 2026 is given below:

The re-evaluation process will remain completely online through the official CBSE website.

How to Apply for CBSE Class 12 Re-Evaluation 2026?

Students who wish to challenge their marks must first obtain a scanned copy of their evaluated answer book. Only after reviewing the answer sheet can they apply for verification or re-evaluation of specific questions. Candidates can follow these steps to complete the process:

  1. Visit the official CBSE website.
  2. Open the post-result services or re-evaluation section.
  3. Enter roll number, school number, and admit card ID.
  4. Apply for the scanned photocopy of the answer book.
  5. Review the evaluated copy carefully.
  6. Select subjects and questions for re-evaluation.
  7. Pay the prescribed online fee.
  8. Submit the form and download the confirmation receipt.

CBSE has clarified that offline applications will not be accepted under any circumstances.

CBSE Introduces Structured Verification and Rechecking Process

This year, CBSE has continued its digital On-Screen Marking (OSM) evaluation system. Following concerns raised by several students regarding unexpected marks in science subjects, the board issued fresh guidelines to improve transparency in post-result procedures. Under the revised framework, students are encouraged to first access scanned copies of their evaluated answer books before applying for re-evaluation. The process is aimed at reducing confusion and ensuring that candidates understand how marks were awarded during evaluation.

Several students who qualified in competitive examinations reportedly questioned discrepancies in their board scores. CBSE responded by highlighting the safeguards included in the digital marking process and reiterated that re-evaluation facilities are available for all eligible students.

Details Required for CBSE Re-Evaluation Application

Before applying for verification or rechecking, students should keep all necessary credentials ready to avoid technical issues during submission. The following details will be required:

  • CBSE Roll Number
  • School Number
  • Admit Card ID
  • Registered mobile number
  • Valid email ID
  • Online payment details

Students must also ensure that the entered information matches their board records exactly. Any discrepancy may lead to rejection of the application form.

What Happens During CBSE Verification and Re-Evaluation?

The verification and rechecking process involves multiple stages. During verification, CBSE checks whether all answers were evaluated properly and whether marks were calculated accurately. After obtaining scanned copies, candidates can identify:

  • Unevaluated answers
  • Totaling mistakes
  • Incorrect mark transfer
  • Errors in question-wise marking

Students can then request re-evaluation for specific questions only. CBSE has stated that marks may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged after re-evaluation.

CBSE Supplementary and Improvement Exam 2026 Details

Along with the re-evaluation process, CBSE has also announced details regarding supplementary and improvement examinations for Class 12 students. The CBSE supplementary examination 2026 will be conducted on July 15, 2026. Students falling under the following categories will be eligible:

  • Students placed in compartment category
  • Candidates seeking improvement in one subject
  • Previous compartment candidates with remaining attempts

The board will start the LOC submission process from June 02, 2026. Once submitted, no modifications in candidate details or subjects will be permitted.

Official Websites to Check CBSE Re-Evaluation Updates

Students are advised to regularly monitor official portals for the latest notifications regarding answer sheet photocopies, rechecking, and supplementary examinations. The important official websites are:

  • cbse.gov.in
  • results.cbse.nic.in
  • CBSE post-result service portal

CBSE has also made result access available through DigiLocker, UMANG application, SMS, and IVRS services due to heavy traffic on official websites during result periods.
