CBSE 12th Revaluation 2026 Clarification on Portal Error Messages
The central board issued a vital public statement to clear the doubts of school students and parents who faced issues while logging into the system. Many applicants complained that they saw an error message saying their roll number was not found when they tried to open the form. The board explained that this happened because of the strict multi-stage rule set for the post-result verification process.
Only those students who had successfully completed the first stage by ordering a scanned photocopy of their answer sheets between May 19, 2026 and May 22, 2026, were allowed to apply for the final re-evaluation stage. Students who skipped the first step could not open the form for the next stage, which caused the error text to appear on the screen. The portal checked student identity using safe Aadhaar card details to protect data privacy.

CBSE 12th Revaluation 2026 Fee Structure
The application fees for checking the board exam papers were collected through online modes like net banking, debit cards, or credit cards. The board had set separate processing charges for every single step of the post-result checking cycle to help students select their options clearly. The step-by-step processing fees and main evaluation rules are detailed below:
- Scanned Copy Charges: Students had to pay an application fee of INR 700 for each subject to get the digital copy of their paper.
- Verification Charges: The basic fee for checking the aggregation of marks was INR 100 per answer book.
- Question Challenge Fee: Students had to pay INR 100 for every single question that they wanted the subject specialists to re-evaluate.
- Final Form Submission: Applications and payments were accepted only through the official digital portal, and offline paper forms were rejected.
The teachers will now carefully check the answer books to find hidden mistakes, total score errors, or any unmarked answers. The final updated results will be published on the official web portal very soon so that students can use their new marksheets for the ongoing college admission rounds. Those candidates who still fail to clear the passing criteria can prepare to sit for the upcoming compartment CBSE Class 12 Board Exam 2026 scheduled on July 15, 2026.
